VolunteeringThe life-line of Girl Scouting is our more than 2,300 volunteers who lead troops, manage service units, serve on our board, or assist the council in our daily operations. Volunteers come in various ages and stages, some short term and others for a longer commitment. Most great Girl Scout volunteers started out concerned about the time commitment or if they had the right skills. They had talents to offer, but wondered if anyone would need them. They worried about “failing” somehow. But they gave it a try and soon found out that the world of Girl Scouting is even for those with limited time and busy schedules, and that there is a variety of exciting volunteer opportunities, that there is a support system and free training to build confidence and ensure success. Most of all, they discovered the fun and friendship that comes with being a Girl Scout volunteer! Click here to learn about the many benefits of becoming a Girl Scout volunteer.
