Volunteer Positions Available Positions Available Interested? Great! Begin the initial stages to becoming a volunteer by downloading our volunteer application. Did you ever wish you had the chance to make a big difference in the life of a little girl? Are you looking for a great way to get to know your daughter's friends? Are you looking for an outlet for your own creativity and skills? Well, you have found the right opportunity—being a Girl Scout Troop Leader! There are 5 levels though which girl progress in Girl Scouts, and therefore 5 levels where we need leaders to run troops: If you have a few hours a month to give, and if you don't mind being paid for your work with little-girl smiles and laughter, this is perfect opportunity for you. We need leaders/role models in all of our communities and especially in Union City, Jersey City, Newark, Hoboken, Irvington and Orange. Be a Girl Scout Leader - start today, the girls are waiting for you! Service Unit Manager or Team Members are needed to make sure the Girl Scouting thrives in each of the 37 communities that make up our council. Service unit managers are the key Girl Scout volunteers in each of our communities. They have a support team to take on specific tasks such as running an event, keeping records, or organizing troops. Green Team is a group of caring adults who can give a few volunteer hours to the Girl Scout Council. The tasks of a short-tem volunteer are as varied as their skills and interests and depend on their availability to help We always need extra hands at events, or people to assist with clerical duties, and to help facilitate discussion groups.
