Recognitions - AdultsThe Girl Scouts of the United States of America adult recognitions system is designed with criteria and requirements to offer tangible, visible awards for significant service to Girl Scouting. Widening spheres of influence build from Outstanding Leader and Outstanding Volunteer recognitions through the Appreciation Pin, then the Honor Pin, to the Thanks Badge and Thanks Badge II. The Girl Scout Council of Greater Essex and Hudson Counties recognizes individuals who have been volunteering for at least three years.A person is eligible to receive a higher level award two years between recognitions.
The council also recognizes a business or agency that goes above and beyond in services rendered over a significant period of time with a special Certificate of Appreciation. Download all of the award applications as a single document here.
Forms require Acrobat Reader. Nominate your peers. Here's every Service Unit's opportunity to recognize individuals who have helped make the Girl Scouting experience successful in their unit. To nominate a volunteer or a community organization for a council award, submit the completed application and the appropriate award category sheet to volunteer services prior to April 1st.
