High Ropes Adventure
Learn about ropes and challenge courses, carabiners and climbing in this two hour introduction to Project Adventure.Tackle the spider web and cross the Burma Bridge while working on the High Adventure IP/Adventure Sports Badge. Teamwork and problem solving are at the heart of this activity, so bring your courage and creativity and be ready to have a blast!
This is an outdoor event, so dress for the weather. Girls may bring water bottles.

A Celebration of the Olympic Spirit
Select an Olympic recognized country to represent. Participate in the Parade of Nations, Opening Ceremony and the Torch Lighting of the Olympic Flame to begin the festivities. Compete in a variety of fun and challenging activities including relays, sack races and an obstacle course. Perform a song, dance, or informative presentation of your country at the Closing Ceremony.

Spring OVALfest
Junior Girl Scouts and Older Girl Scout Troops/Groups: Join in the fun! Plan a special craft or activity especially for your younger “sister” Girl Scouts! Your group will work with the Teen Girl Planning Board in the planning and delivery of your troop/group activity! The spots are limited, so get in on the fun early!
Please submit your group’s idea via email to jclarson@gscgehc.org, no later than April 1, 2008. Include your troop number, a contact name, telephone number and/or email.

Scrap Book Workshop - 3rd Grade and Up
Put together a dynamite scrap book of all of your special photos! Bring in your photos and we will provide each girl with an 8 x 8 scrapbook, colorful background paper, assorted stickers, “fancy” scissors, stamps and stamp pads to use. Girls will be able to get some advice on some basics of scrap booking and have some fun! Girls may also bring any embellishments they’d like to use.

JUMP! JUMP! JUMP! - Competition - Bring it On!
Do you have what it takes to win? Bring it On! This is Competition! Practice before the event. Sign up for a category to suit your style. Double Dutch, Speed Routines, Single Jump, and Jump Bands. Join the fun and excitement of rhythmic jump rope, an active body moving and healthy activity. Improve your skills and learn new jumping techniques.

Sweet Shoppe Interest Project
A totally sweet interest project! Not only will there be skill building and technology but you will get to eat your work!

CentsAbility - Girls ages 9-11

Hey, Girls! You know how to spend money, right? Check out this cool cash project to find out more things you can do with your money, besides just spending it! This program is designed to help girls learn, and put into action, key concepts and skills related to personal money management. Girls will learn to set a realistic goal, create a budget, establish a savings plan and much more!

Lincoln Caverns Overnight
Pan for gems, explore caves, find out about creatures of the night, and sleep over. ……these are just a few of the fun filled activities that you will experience while earning your Interest Project or Badge! So, pack your sleeping bag and come on board for a great time!

Water Sports Interest Project
Have fun learning about water sports, water safety and water related careers at the Montclair YMCA. In the pool, girls will learn what to do in water related emergencies, try snorkeling, water walking and water aerobics. Girls will also have the opportunity to interview YMCA Aquatics staff. This will prove to be a fun and informative session.
Pre-requisite: Swim 25 yards; jump into the pool fully clothed and float for 5 minutes. This will be conducted at the YMCA upon arrival to the pool deck. Advisors, please read pages 178-179, in the Interest Projects for Cadette and Senior Girl Scouts, before attending this workshop.
