...campfires and cookouts, sunny days and crisp cool nights in a tent or a cabin, field trips to exciting places, putting on spectacular shows, or learning some of the silliest songs around. Girl Scout camp can take you far, far away to explore new horizons, or it can be as close as your own neighborhood.

Make new friends!Learn a new skill!

Whether a girl chooses day or sleep-away camp, in the city or the woods, Girl Scout camp has something to offer her.

The opportunity to belong to a caring community, make strong friendships, and learn to understand and appreciate all kinds of people.

Activities that will help her to make decisions and guide her actions as she develops her own set of values to believe in.

Fun!

A chance to contribute to camp life and help others as she builds and strengthens her leadership skills.

Experiences and challenges to help her become the best person she can be!

Girl Scout camp program is values-based with the Girl Scout Promise and Law at its heart. Under the guidance of carefully selected and trained adult staff, girls work in small groups to help plan and carry out each day's activities. Part of the camp experience is the chance to share in daily "kapers" - the jobs that need to be done to keep camp in order. By doing so, girls develop responsibility and become more independent, while enjoying a fun and enriching summer adventure in a relaxed, non-competitive environment.

If you have questions, please contact Lisa Mintz, A.E.D. of Membership/Program Services at (888) 746-8200, ext.122, or e-mail us at camp@gscgehc.org. We'll be happy to help you choose just the right program for your camper.
